Climate protection: Reducing emissions
United Internet AG's data centers are responsible for most of the group’s energy consumptions. The energy use and the resulting CO₂ emissions have a negative impact on the environment and the climate. In 2022, all company-owned data centers were powered by green electricity. In 2018, an ISO 50001 certified energy management system (was introduced for the IONOS data centers to be able to monitor and control its energy consumption.
