Invest sustainably in wind energy

From December 16, 2025, to February 1, 2026, Tomorrow customers were able to invest in wind energy directly via the app. A total of over €350.000 was raised.

Why the expansion of wind energy is important

Renewable energy sources are among the most important sources of electricity in Germany. In 2024, the share of renewable energy in electricity generation was approximately 59,4% in Germany. According to the new Renewable Energy Act, at least 80% of the consumed electricity should come from renewable sources by 2030. To achieve this goal, the share of renewable energy needs to be significantly increased in the next four years.

The expansion of wind energy on land (Onshore) is a key component of the energy revolution. Wind power, along with solar and hydropower, is one of the main pillars of renewable energy. Onshore-wind energy is already the most cost-effective form of energy generation in many regions. In 2024, wind power accounted for 31,5% of the total electricity generated. For example, coal accounted for 22,5% and natural gas for 14,9%. (Sources: Federal Statistical Office, 2025).

How you can invest in wind energy

In the Future tab of the Tomorrow app, you now have the possibility to invest directly in wind energy. As a Tomorrow customer you can find more information directly in the App.

By investing in wind energy, you support the promotion of green and clean electricity. This way, you contribute to a sustainable energy supply and to the reduction of future CO₂ emissions.

Moreover, you have the chance to benefit from a future-oriented growth market and tangible assets that are independent of fluctuations in the traditional financial markets.

You find a button in the "Future" for the investment. There you will find an overview of the investment and can continue with "Invest now". After you have checked your data, you can continue and will be redirected to WIWIN.

If you already have a WIWIN profile, the app may indeed display an error message when you try to invest, because the existing WIWIN profile is not automatically linked to our app. In this case, you also have the option to complete the investment directly via WIWIN.

The Tomorrow account is provided by our banking service provider, Solaris SE. Solaris SE is a fully regulated European bank, licensed and supervised by the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). Your deposits are therefore protected up to € 100,000 by the German Deposit Guarantee Scheme (DGS). This protection applies per customer / per bank, in this case Solaris SE. If you hold multiple accounts with Solaris, the deposit protection applies to all your accounts in total.

* Interest rate of 3.1 % p.a. applies to customers who open a Tomorrow account and savings account between October 1 and October 31, 2026, for the first 90 days on a maximum balance of € 50,000. Outside the promotional period, the regular interest rate for your chosen account type applies - also on balances up to € 50,000.
