Invest sustainably in green hydrogen

From September 17 to October 31, 2025, Tomorrow customers were able to invest in green hydrogen directly via the app. A total of €2 million was raised.

Why the expansion of green hydrogen is important

Green hydrogen is a gaseous energy source produced by electrolysis. In this process, renewable electricity splits water (H₂O) into hydrogen and oxygen – without emissions. The expansion of green hydrogen is a key component of the energy revolution and plays a central role in the fight against the climate crisis, as it can replace fossil fuels in sectors such as industry, mobility, shipping, aviation, and energy production. Green hydrogen thus offers a climate-neutral alternative in areas where renewable energies such as wind power and solar energy reach their limits and direct electrification is difficult or inefficient. (Heinrich Böll Foundation, 2023)

The European steel industry alone causes over 200 million tons of CO₂ annually. Green hydrogen offers an alternative here to drastically reduce CO₂ emissions. However, there is currently a bottleneck in the hydrogen economy. It is therefore essential to expand the industrial production of green hydrogen at affordable, falling, and competitive prices—only then can holistic, climate-friendly solutions be implemented.

How you can invest in green hydrogen

In the Future tab of the Tomorrow app, you now have the opportunity to invest directly in a green hydrogen bond. As a Tomorrow customer, you can find more information directly in the app.

By investing in green hydrogen, you support the promotion of climate-friendly solutions in industry. This way, you actively contribute to a sustainable energy supply, CO₂ reductions and extensive climate protection.

On top of that, you have the chance to benefit from a state-subsidized growth market that is independent of fluctuations in the traditional financial markets.
